G1000 Equipped C-182T – N780CP
Listed below are several
links to important documents about safely operating the 2006 model Cessna
182, its Garmin 1000 series avionics, and the King 2-axis autopilot. Other suggestions for this page should be
forwarded to Capt Ted Spitzmiller at thspitzmiller@msn.com
or Capt Brian Morrision at bmorris@nmia.com.
For some, the new
polysyllables and flashy acronyms may be a bit intimidating, but the
airplane is still a C-182. Too ease
the transition burden the training will be provided for various levels of
participation.
- VFR — the Pilot must demonstrate competence
with the Primary Flight Display, Engine Performance Display, basic VOR
and GPS Navigation, Terrain avoidance, and Traffic Information Systems
- IFR — the pilot must demonstrate competence
with all Primary Flight Displays and all Multi-Function Displays to
include GPS navigation, as well as ILS, VOR and GPS approaches and the
use of the autopilot.
- NAV/COM
ASSIST — need not be a
pilot to be trained in the use of the Multi-Function Display to assist
the PIC in managing the displays and evaluating the information from
the right seat.
